Tea bag warmly dipped wearing paper sweater,
squeezed and placed upon a saucer.
Steaming mist to be sipped.

Dipped once more,
Sweater thinning
Mint diluting.

To you, partners in morning,
Kindly accept my invitation,
a single cup of minted tea.

           Ahhh,  whiff!  uUUUmmmmm!
(you bring freshened BAGs of tea).
Will you kindly share your favorite blend?

Now cups we'll drink with toast to Passions,
         with cinnamon and sugar,
          apple butter, marmalade--

Enchantress,
Can you describe the taste?  (I hope that's not too much to ask--I probably could not describe a taste if I had to!)

   Would you like some marmalade?

Give me steaming peppermint,
or pekoe with orange zest,
I like a touch of zing and such
but tea with friends is best!

I have some teacups from all over
east and west and found at sales
let's lift up each and every one
and stand by shipside rails

Around the world we all shall fly
from Timbuktu to Camaroon
sipping tea with girls and guys
from January through June

Clink!

Sunshine,

Clink back at you!  Your poem was voyage.  This I'll have to read again and again.  It so reminds of fifth grade history when my teacher told us of how spices and teas were treasured like gold-that people would sail the world around to find these delights.  Your pictures added touch.

Again, thank you for sharing of yourself--we are very fortunate to have you.

I think that I would like to share
   a simple brew with you,
to wake the day with magic words
and herbal teas for a few
poetic friends who linger here
and take from reading their fill.
I'll gladly join in this fine brunch
   and bring my chamomile.

Mmmm... Chai tea has a natural spice flavour with a hint of cinnamon.
I take mine with a slice of lemon and half a teaspoon sugar please.

McLean,

Thank you for your rhyme.  Much enjoyed...
Chamomile, I remember, just right in relaxing time.   Definitely!  I had forgotten all about the wonders of chamomile, great tea for relieving stress and insominacs...
We'll have to share a cup sometime over a poem of yours.

Seymour,

I'll slice you one!   Enjoy!  (I've drunk many cups of Constant Comment while sipping your poetry!)

Michelle,
Earl Grey must get around in the morning.  He frequents this house to!  Better watch out for him...  Thanks for your comment.
