I saw a dream perched on my window sill
with puppy dog eyes
pleading to be free

So many times lost dreams do haunt me
apprehension was their chains
my fear their prison

Another chance stares back at me
do I let the dream fly free
or let it fade as I have with the rest

For a moment I am left to ponder then
without rhyme or reason

I open the window and watch
as my dream takes flight
shedding caterpillar skin
for wings of a beautiful butterfly

Brad, I love this ending.
It's really pretty.

Loved this writing and especially those lines...

Brad - beautiful dreams should be kept and held on to, and when they seem to be coming true go for it, for if not one will never know if they are true... Nice write...
