Listening to every heart

Konrad’s Last Song

So swift, in a voice of sea, and wind
clear sounds of Konrad came again
through the air and around in breeze
and filled my senses full with ease

For where the heart lies in the sun
where all began and we were one
you followed a voice, from within ~
those who are willing, will do so again

Heed the tones and turn the stones
step where steps went all alone
do not fail to mark the trail
and seek always your very grail

Catch sun’s laughter on the breeze
immerse yourself in histories
write the calm that quiets like balm
and smile the smile so like sweet alms

Have no fear in what’s not known
for every gypsy has a home ~
seek the eye in every face
never allow a memory’s erase

And be the teller of the tales
seek the breeze and set the sails
feel the roll of life and sea
and look beyond all mysteries…

So in a voice of sea and wind
faint sounds of Konrad came again
in the air and around in breeze
filling my senses with sweet release

‘Twas then I knew a poet’s proud
wrapped in ancient mystery’s shroud ~
watcher of time, protecting beliefs
a keeper of blue for a barrier’s reef

A soul who goes on in a dream
a lover for those who would set a scene ~
who draw the lines, to draw one in
aye, sounds of Konrad, came again.

~*~

Dedicated to my husband, Carroll,
and our friends, Jack & MaryLu,
All who made visiting the lands
Konrad has walked, a magical reality.

What a fantastic journey you and Konrad took us on Karilea!
I've kept them to read over and over again..
I only wish I would have been there as well.
Hugs~

Karilea...You watched with wisdom in your eyes...all that passed, now blessed with words so we could see too.  Thank you for this wonderful trip!

Maybe someday I can sit on the deck of a
ship....sailing peacefully across an ocean
blue...and write ...  envy will get me
nothing......

Pretty spiffy...like this!

Beautiful, Karilea.  But I can't help but feel sorrow in the parting of this sweetness.

Way to go Karilea.  I especially like that last picture.  I'll bet you never knew that when Carroll swims, he looks just like a porpoise.  What?  OMG - That WAS a porpoise.  I'm so ashamed....

Karilea, this is just the "last" for this year 2003. Right?
I certainly hope that's what you meant. Anyway,
I'm keeping this one to look at over and over again. This
pictures are wonderful. Tell you husband and
friends thank you, too, for me.
Hugs to you and yours,
Ethel
