sleep was never enough you would break behind my eyes you, my dream on stilts my butterfly we would sing and swing conquer the sun with famished breath envision the “outdoors at night” through Lehmann’s “Spring Forest” his beetle buzzing us to life and how you would wrap me then your fervent belly tapping at my roots looping your life around my hips bending me in howling chaos. hey, look. my first time back here, and i come across a mindblowing poem--i miss that. anyway, i love it. the dreaming on stilts bit was captured pretty cleverly. but the whole poem in itself was beautiful. merry x-mas. -chris. |
