Lady Of The East

Lady of the East you call to me;
who would be fair without beauty,
beautiful without grace
graceful without love, and
who is loved without reason.
My body crumbles inward
toward the empty ache,
your absence palpable.
A shape of emptiness fills me;
it is outlined in lack, and
colored in tones of naked longing.
Lady, end my great alone;
I will you here, will you rise like a sun
and fly to me over ocean, land.
Oh lady of the East, I call to you.

who is loved without reason.

Which is the only reason to love. *S* This beauty reminds me why I've missed reading your work. *S*

Nice, very nice. I like the way you close this in with the first and last lines.

And for you, I hope she comes.

Jealous here....I wish I'd written these lines. Think this one goes into my library....

OUTSTANDING!
making me crumble here, just a bit, with envy

I'm glad everybody liked my poem. I worked hard to make it good enough for putting here. Most of my things aren't. It feels good to be told that I succeeded a little.

I'm glad for my forgetfulness in not adding this to my library... for it gives me the chance to read your response... and say you're a poet I watch for... your work is most definitely worth posting here! *S*
