The Kitten re-named Hoover

He walked down the street he had no home
A wonderful day, the city to roam
Then the road started rumbling
It came with a roar
He got caught in the whirlwind
Where he tumbled and rolled
When things came to a stop
He barely clung to life
But the one that almost took it
Also helped him get it back
With a breath of fresh air and a gentle caress
He opened his eyes and wondered... (What the heck was that)
But was glad he survived it and wasn't looking back
And now with a second chance in life
A new home and a new name
He knows he won't go through that again

Note: This is about a Kitten that got caught in a Street Sweeper's path
The driver found him after his route. He took him out of the vacuum tank
and gave him mouth to nose resuscitation. The kitten lived, now they call him

"HOOVER"

(The kitten in picture is not "Hoover")

"Everybody's lost
But they're pretending they're not
Lost"........Morrissey

*sits until the warm goosebumps finally cease*

This was very cool, though one tiny detail: Hover or Hoover?

:-) Thank You Alicat.

(I couldn't check my vacuum for the spelling, I own a 'Dirt Devil')

I hope this is a kitten with nine lives!  Sweet poem.  My daughter has a cat named Homer -- he looks like the Tom from "Tom and Jerry."  Cats are each so uniquely different from one another, don't you think?

LOL... "What the heck was that?" No doubt that's exactly what he thought.  My daughters enjoyed the poem and picture.  Thanks for posting, and may you never fall asleep in the gutter.

Kittens and Cats sure do have different personalities, don't they?  At what point do they develop this "You're my human" attitude?

I always honk my horn on the cold days to be sure there's not a little furry thing warming near my engine when I crank it up.

I'm happy this kitty found a home, although it was quite the journey.  Hey...isn't that like us all?
