* * *
There was a time you'd bring me flowers
Each and every week
I would reward you with a kiss
Which you would so eagerly seek

Freesias were my favourite
In the early days of Spring
With a fragrance oh so heavenly
So much joy did your blooms bring

Sometimes you brought me roses
On the days when I felt blue
You filled my life with color
How very much I once loved you

Throughout the seasons our love blossomed
Into a beautiful bouquet
Until you so cruelly broke my heart
On the day you went away

Now my heart feels cold and empty
And my vase is void of flowers
I sit lost within my memories
As I wile away the hours

Alone here in my solitude
I wonder where our love went wrong
I have no one to bring me flowers
How very sad now was my song

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Oh, Sue...

This is an incredible verse!  And, that image is absolutely perfect. What an amazing combination. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Alone here in my solitude...yes I know that feeling.

Take a walk through your beautiful gardens and gift yourself with their beauty, Sue.

(If I remember correctly from the past you have lovely gardens)

I guess I should have made it clear that this writing was pure fiction and it was not written from personal experience.  I am sorry for misleading anyone.

Thank you all so very much for your friendship and kind words.

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a New Year filled with lots of love and happiness.

Take care.........Sue

Okay, Sue -- you outdid yourself on this one.  How on earth did you put that heavenly music on the poem and who was it?  BEEEEEE well.

Hello iliana

I can't take credit for the music.  As you will see, the music was courtesy of chinestone who included the music with her lovely comment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Take care.......Sue
