Vacancy

Reflections in the bottle full -
bone china and
a touch of brass -
remnants of a former self
before the black and white of now
this life I barely breathe today
In disarray
I've made this bed of
corners tucked within the mind
I've left behind the 'me' of me
in search of something
lacking still
This void within,
filled from without
embracing all that's in surround
yet mirrored in the bottle now...

this vacancy of me

yes, at times we do tend to give our power to, and find our value in, extrinsic forces,  whatever they may be.  Very well written. I loved the " 'me' of me"

Hello, i'm new here, and would like to preface this by saying, I in no way feel qualified to be a poetry critic.

As we all no poetry is subjective and impossible to critique, that said I know what I like, and I really liked this alot.

Great Job..

Beautifully penned, Vicky! I sure could relate to this write. Guess we've all had some vacant days.

Very much enjoyed, speaking of change and how very necessary it is, to submit to self growth through self exploration.  Great read, thanks a million.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Vicky, I have always believed hat the glass is half full in my heart, but I too believe that sometimes I find I'm outside the glass and should be inside and that makes me feel isolated and divided! (sad sigh) We all will feel empty at times and I send angel hugs of comfort to help ease the emptiness in your heart, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Vicky, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Vicky, you’ve expressed so well a feeling that I think we all feel from time to time.
Vicky, I hope it isn’t long before your heart is booked solid with joy and contentment.
And that the “No Vacancy” sign lights up again, real soon!

Great Poem!
And Best Wishes!

ahh but Vicky . . .
I see you shining . . .
and it is a beautiful sight
my sis . . .
you are far from vacant
although I do know the feeling

Soon, your chest will fill
with breath of all breaths
and you will shall be consumed
by every nerve in your body
as you dance beneath the moon
I adore this and you
and your writing
Much Love
