What Game Is This?

What game is this that you play
to toy with feelings not your own
You see from your side with tainted vision
and claim that you have been the victim

You pull from words long ago forgotten
inflicting hurt you have been dealt
Yes, inflicting more than you ever held
Blind sided from those wounds you felt

With daggered words aimed with care
running head on of no concern
For words once said lie beneath
give way to continued abuse
never ever forgotten
this game you play
is a poor excuse

You are way ahead of the game in that you seem to see how it is being played out.

Your overview may be your salvation! Perhaps you should quit the game while you're ahead!

Whether this poem reflects fact or fiction, it packs a punch to my solar plexus, dear Golden One!

Loving hugs,
EA

I've been on both sides of this, and now the third side, which is even worse: silence.

Quite odd, I have been there the other day with my mother.  Some people never change.

You captured the game perfectly! Very nice read!

EA, This is fact born from the fustration of trying to communicate. I dispise the game and am afraid that the alternative is withdrawal. I am often surpised that we communicate at all!

James A Fraser, your insight chills me. You are right on target. Brilliant, so now the questions. How and why does it come to that and once arrived how do we get out??
