Through The Dark Of Silence

Mostly unanswered letters
Only brought about despair
My words were not enough
Writing had got me nowhere

Of feelings that I conveyed
In thank you notes from me
The depths of my devotion
You somehow failed to see

Was it worthwhile appealing
As my writing began to slow
Did words leave there mark
If only you could let me know

Tears flow easier than words
Whilst a await for some sign
Through the dark of silence
Could fading once again shine
