The angels kept watching over the boy and girl
After 3 days had passed they were still fighting
But on the 4 th day they saw something was changing
They kept watching to see what it could be

One angel said to the other,
"Could it be that they are in love again
Or just really really good friends?"

The other angel replied,
"That surely looks more than just a friendly kiss
I think they finally worked through all their differences."

Then God stepped in and told the angels,
"I told you to give it time
And look, now they seem to be in love again."

The angels smiled and replied in unison,
"Yes God you told us to give them time
And look at what happened
Love has blossomed once more
And we can tell her heart hurts no more."

Then God looked down upon the boy and girl and said,
"I knew their love was not dead.
They said some pretty harsh things to each other
And they needed the time time to cool off a bit."

The angels finally said,
"Let's give them a gift
That will help them make sure
This never happens again."

Then God replied,
"I have already have given them a gift
A gift of wisdom
And with that gift
They may learn to be nicer to one another
And not be so harsh when they are mad."

They continued looking down over the boy and girl
And God gave the angels a job
To gaurd over the boy and girl
For the rest of their lives

Cold hands means a warm heart

Julie, I know that this is just wishful thinking, but it is a great poem with a great message just the same. Wisdom is remembering and not making the same mistakes again be it in a renewed relationship or any new one that might come about over time. Give it time.

It isn't just wishful thinking. It's just as the poem says. Trust me, we had worse fights back in January last year, I think. All we needed was a bit of time to cool off.

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!

Oh, Julie, this was simply precious! ~ and from reading ThunderMage's reply, the story may indeed have a happy ending, or should I say, a new and happy beginning!

(big hugggsssssssss) All I can say to you is be careful, for if at any point you feel the suspicion or recurrent heartache seeping in that you have felt already here, try and let go, for if you carry this burden and this same heartache comes back, it could well be an emotional trap! (sigh) I surely hope this love has turned a new golden leaf, but also be cautious, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing!
