maybe you
ought to come
shut me up

since you can't
shut up

so maybe
with a few friends
and a few drinks
if you could only
hush for a moment

maybe you
could
shut me up

We Southerners are always saying .....
"Well, shut my mouth"!! LOL
Of course, I know that your poem is
saying lots more than that. In fact,
