Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-11-02 07:53 AM

Merging

Sift through soul sounds,
singling out the flute
to mix with a misty morning melody
while we let the rain fall,

but before we fade into the fog,
and become just a memory
listen for the tune, once more,
that picks at your spirit, still

and meander along with me, in search,

for somewhere along the path
the words you once said
might be picked up again

perhaps by us,

and pocketed like a touch-stone
that we’ll find love, again.

I read this a half dozen times, Karilea. I love your word choice, the flow, your images in this poem.  This spoke to me...images and thoughts I have had in the past...here and now in beautiful words of a friend.

Can you tell how much I love your Celtic muse?

This is so beautiful, Sunshiney One... I'm tempted to disappear and practice and practice until I learn to write like this... only I fear I'd never be heard from again. *S*

you know Karilea as I started to read
it reminded me of Ireland . . .
I don't know why .  .
you are THAT good *smile*
but the touch stone . . .
that part jarred me . . .
I don't know if you were
speaking of THE stone but
My God I have many myself
and they lie in my palm
and those that I love
I adored this

It is foggy and raining here this morning I could picture seeing someone walking through the mist playing the bagpipes.

Wonderful

Ahhh, Sissie...once more, you have merged the mystical with the optical in mind, and soared with it. An excellent read...very gentle smile

(smiles) Oh Karilea, just visiting Ireland earlier this year, this truly brought back sooooooooo much, of ogham stones and turquoise bays! (big hugggssssssss) Do you listen to the Chieftains, they are good Irish music listening, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

you already know i LOVE this one....and why.!!

tell your celtic muse the moth says thank you...
for the allits, the assonance, and the graceful beauty of the way these words  poetically spilled.
Very lovely write Kari.

Words break into splinters on the pages I write
