The nets where all stowed
The slight chop rocked them gently,
Homeward bound,
Homeward bound,
The stern mist carries swiftly
Gather fog as flowed,
Rolling in,
Rolling in,
Before the sun showed,
Followed into port quickly,
Rolling in,
Homeward bound.

This reminds me of those dark--dark nights, the fog rolling in the chill in the air.....almost spooky....I really enjoyed the images in this...

Will the wind ever remember the names
it has blown in the past with
its crutch its old age and its widsom
it whispers no this won't be the last

Thank you, Greeneyes,
Pleased you enjoyed.

Thank you, Earth Angel,
I am glad you like it,
It is so easy for me to think of the Sea,
Your poem was just the right spark this poem needed.

Thank you, Susan Caldwell,
So do I, glad you responded,
Sea tales, ahhh yes,
I remember once when talking to this little mermaid
a lovely creature with lovely blue eyes

Thank you, passing shadows,
You are very kind in response

Thank you, Seymour,
Always nice to see your response under a poem of mine,
In fact I might use a touch of port a little later.

You write like you a sailor and poet, I would greet your ship arrival if the sailor had such a poem to share
