Between the Lines

The chill invades once again
as I drown my sorrows in words past
rereading memories unbanded
stretching them beyond tensions hold
until they burst as tears of not understanding
this void I must live in.

Surrounded only by this hummm
and the lighting of thoughts once open
but now estranged, divorcing more
than just of he.

The pity seeps in, seeking in randomness
victimizing this heart of hearts
fleeced once too many, wondering
whatever happened to respect
and concern and regard...
and those words of
"as always"

and those words of
"as always"

like death do us part,
words are sometimes archaic
sad to say
when they feel strange

peace and all
