Intent Her shadow rose upon the wall Graceful seductive and tall Beckoning in moves intent To fly with her in dreamers vent So my spirit rose and flew Into a sky of primrose hew On to a beach of snow white sand And wiled a wile of oh so grand There her shadow took its form A beauty such as ne’er was born A seem in perfect beauties light All within an arms length sight I clench her close about the waist And then all seemed to turn to waste Except the touch of my embrace Where stays a pillow, in my face? Some day I’ll dream her back again And finish what I started then. |
