Two Tuesdays

I don't know what it is,
but it seems like everyone has me figured out?
I'm sad, and a sad case, but I don't feel that.
I feel that life is just what it always was,
and always will be for all time.
It has it's up, it has it's down.
Insanity..How could that be easy?
It's not. It's not those times you save in a box
for a rainy day.
Piggy banks, and little boxes aren't for insanity
They are for those times that give good things
Like memories, and curiosities to be stored.
To take them out somewhere down the road
Along lifes way.
I love you, but how can you whistle my tune?
You would have to know the words.
You don't know them, and yet you do.
That was something about us two.
That feels so strangely, strangely distant now.
Like another lifetime ago, come, and gone.
Yet there's still tingles from you
Feeling you, feeling you from so far away
so long ago.
How do you still reverberate my skin,
not like a crawl or cringe, but like
and old song of remembrance
that leaves tears, and goosebumps along
thoughts paths that never stray far
from you.

liked this passage especially..

here you build  and in introspection evaluate the thing being saved... in some ways a commentary of society and the "norms"...

I enjoyed....

Stop that! Now I have to strive to write something as well as this! Loved it!

Terri, I was especially struck by the following:

"I love you, but how can you whistle my tune?
You would have to know the words."

~ Far too often, this is the case in a 'relationship'.

You are very good at recreating your feelings and setting the tone of this wonderfully emotive and moving write.

To me it appears that you really have moved on, but that you have memorable moments to keep you warm when cold winds blow.

Loving, healing hugs,
Linda

Terri, I think I understand the title...

“I love you, but how can you whistle my tune?
You would have to know the words.
You don't know them, and yet you do.

Two’sDays,  a day for two...

The first one, how it used to be...

The second, how it is now...

Two Two’s Days

Terri, I do, understand this...

Thank You!

(sigh) Oh Shara, this is beautifully honest, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you and I understand this kind of insanity too and how it always seems to divide each individual page into two and the days seem so familiar! (big hugggssssss) I send angel hugs your way, sweet friend, may sweet memories always fill your heart each day, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Shara, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thank you, and hugs to you all..

Cpat-Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed. Thank you for giving the pointing that was the strongest for you, and your thoughts about that. It was much appreciated.

Nakdthoughts- Thanks. I am glad this touched an emotion you could relate to. That's what poetry does to me, too. Let's me know I'm not alone in the emotions I feel.

Susan- Thanks Susan. I am glad you liked. Resigned is very much the emotion. Thank you for noticing. Memories still come back, and this is about both that I felt.

EvocativeVerse2- Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed. Thank you for the read, and comment.

Earth Angel- Thanks so much. *WOW* you are so right. You are so VERY right. Memories (and distant ones at that) are just that memories, but without our memories how would we know where we've been? How would we know what direction to take next in relationships?

Midnite Sun- Thank you. Memories are treasures. Things you hold dear. How can you not go back to them sometimes in your mind and admire them at times.

Richy- Richy, you are probably right, because for some reason I couldn't shake this title. Most of the time I'm always so indecisive about my titles. I really do have a battle with that.

Noah--Thank you Noah. Two different lifetimes are rolled in to this. You are so right. How can something that made such a mark on your life not come back in remembrance?

sadelite- Thank you. I am glad you liked.
