~*~

*Inspired*

She's got the devil in her heart
no, no, this I can't believe
she's gonna tear your heart apart
no, no way will she deceive.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He wrote the words to fit my song
then he played me on his own
flipped my world upside down
then turned away without a sound.
Said it wasn't fair to me
oh how the man made me believe
I didn't need to watch my back
then denied that he deceived.
Said he'd had too much to drink
couldn't remember anything
then drew the lines and double crossed
while pretending not see.
Now I know where I went wrong
it's no different than before
just another heart to break
words no one will ever read.
How do you justify yourself
doesn't matter anyway
I can't change the damage done
or this ache inside of me.
What I still don't understand
is how hot and cold you ran
changing the rules in mid-game
was it part of what you planned.
No no, please don't answer me
I'm not listening anymore
you're just a two bit comedy
without a sense of right or wrong.
I feel for the girl next door
and the one's who came before
while you carry on the same
and your conscience you ignore.
There is nothing left to lose
no more excuses to diffuse
because it's all the same to you
no prize to win or hold onto.
Now I hope you're satisfied
I'm never going to be the same
for my heart I cannot trust
to fall in line like that again.
Lori, bluesygal friend, don't give up on love. Remember the lyrics "the first cut is the deepest"???
That's what the lyrics say, but we both know all the cuts are deep, and they all hurt...but don't give up on love.
Sad to say, I can relate to this, feeling as if my heart had been stepped on, when in fact, I simply misunderstood from the very  beginning, and there never really had been an 'us' except in my imagination.
But the hurt sure makes for some good poetry.
Big sister heart hugs to you.
Hi Lori, I've no words of wisdom to offer except to say that time heals but it sure does leave us disfigured. One day we'll look in the mirror and say, "what the hell, it's made a better me."
To have feelings of want and grandeur
       of the heart is not Demonic ....
           ...  it just hurts like HeLL!
    It wasn't your heart that was bad
          but the misconnection of the two.
          Somewhere, out there ....
             love will find a way.
Thanks for putting up with me everyone. I just can't seem to shake him off...and it infuriates me to no end!!!  Sooo, I'm going to take a much needed vacation and see if I can get rid of some of my baggage.
You are all very special....poetry may be the common bond, but it's more than that to me.
Love to you all~ and so many more hugs~
Don’t think because you have a fork and two red pointy horns
You can come in here and make our Bluesy’s heart so torn?
Don’t think because she likes this name, her heart is free to seize?
The only things that she likes blue are bonnets, jeans and cheese
We’re tired of you always making her feel really low
I’m telling you right now red man, that you had better blow
All she does is make us all feel good about ourselves
Always putting her own needs away up on a shelf
All she does is share the beauty deep within her heart
She is someone you can’t help but like right from the start
So hit the road and don’t come back, and take your 666
Go back to that place called, H -E - double hockey sticks
I bet that if  you really try and look hither and yon
You can find yourself a devil, with a blue dress on
Hurry Back Bluesy!
Bluesy~
Big hugs
Sometimes we get hurt but we have to forge on because we never know what is around the next corner.  If it weren't for a wonderful friend I don't know how I would make it
You hang in there girl!!
Remember:  "...at least you got the makins' of a song..."
and of course the other lyric chestnut:  "Love Stinks!"
Never apologize for sharing your feelings here; that is what family is for.
I hope you feel better soon!
