aching words
lost
  forgotten
      do you
           hold a memory
               of me
somewhere

speak to me
    without move of lips
           show me
                you remember

somewhere
   within yourself

another time
       another life
            another look
                  of lost confusion

and brush of hand

"if you won't let me fall for you
then you won't see the best that I would love to do for you"

Susan, this one does ache. It's very
beautifully written, even though it's sad.

(smiles) Oh Susan, this is so very sad, sweet friend, I know what you mean, you have the memory but you don't exactly remember it, it's all distorted! (big hugggssssss) I send angel hugs your way, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Kinda reminds me of "Bogie" standing on
a corner, beneath a street light.  Collar
turned up to ward off the chill....talking
about some "dame" he had met and how she
had touched him....

Great write Susan...very real expressions
herein...

I've read several of your things.   You have such a talent for writing simple words that say a lot.  Thanks for sharing your thoughts(I think it must be natural for us to wonder if we've made equal impressions upon those we've cared about--that's only fair, right?)

Surely a heart as caring as yours has made an impression on everyone it has loved.  Deep saddness breeds unequivicable joy, be ye not sad pretty lady!

"another time
       another life
            another look
                  of lost confusion

and brush of hand"

When someone truly touches us, whether in this life or another...the memory remains always, I think.  How could it be any different for those we touch?
Love the way you ended this poem Susan.  Strong, yet achingly soft, in it's impact.
