Listening to every heart

Konrad Visits

I found you here,
the only place where the grass grows
on its own, it seems, but
perhaps, from tears…

under these spreading cypress trees
where spirits roam
in softer light ~
seeing beyond lone shadow’s bleak,
not knowing this lonesome,
echoing, grief

not that I would have you with me now,
you who were so sick of living,
so ready to find a way
out
that you hadn’t been whole for such
a long time,

but I miss you…

if you were to return, unbroken,
able to enjoy this brief
stay on earth, to hold once more
the light
you saw in me, sitting here,
’neath this tree
to spend a moment in the dwell
of our childhood, again,

in that innocence
before the stripping
of fantasy and dream,
into reality and screams,

you endured a lot of hardships,
Iambe…

we thought you were the stronger
of us all…
even stronger than Jake
we looked up to you, you must know that,

sit here with me just a little longer,
let my thoughts
let you go
then I will go
                 but I’ll remember this bench

and I’ll bring Dana back,
soon,
to visit you
and we’ll sit here,
and talk of those times
when you smiled.

Wonderful Karilea...left a lump in my throat the size of Kansas.
The accompanying pictures are phenomenal.
Perfect...absolutely perfect.

Yes, we did.  Ya got me with this one again Kari.  And no...that doesn't surprise me at all.

nicely done....

funny... not at all how I pictured where she lay in rest...but, perhaps it beats the empty field at the end of Clarks road I had in mind...

you and Ross have done well... very well...
