imagine the darkest day.
a day when no lights
will shine and colours all
fade to black.
will his gift make the light
shine once again?
imagine a day when you
can only see by feeling around.
lost in a familiar place.
what will you do on that darkest day?
the darkness that has fallen
is here to stay.
no sunshine light,
only the warmth from its rays will
let you see it shining.
you cry because you cant
watch your little girl at
her high school graduation,
because you cant see your first
grand child and because
your lost in familiar surroundings.
it is said we only remember the
good things in life
so if we're blind, will the
images remain forever or
will they fade away?

I would like to think that those images would remain forever, maybe even clearer in our mind's eye...and that we can choose what images we care to keep, even when the darkness closes in.  Very thought-provoking write, and I enjoyed it much...~S~

I agree this is deep.My own perception is that yes wether blind or not I appreciate life for all the wondrous things it is.I'm a happy person and would continue to see the joy in everything.
