Though I have no means nor power,

I see my star in the Heavens.

Hurtling,

Frantically searching for its final resting place.

Like it I shine,

Seeking my home

I doubt I will get there,

Through no fault of my own

I blame convenient destiny.

In the distance there is laughter

Yet I choke amongst my self-brooding smoke

Alas

I have succumbed to the ways of the world.

Perhaps such ways are eliptical in orbit..?  They may seem like a black hole, but with a little soul-searching can encourage a supernova instead...  There's a lot of space out there, even for a star shooting itself...
