Deep, Deep Ponder Pool
~*Marge Tindal*~

Deep, deep ponder pool
this school of swimming thought
What questions asked ?What answers sought ?
I know without a doubt you see
there is no beauty in a hungry belly
Be it child, woman or man
No beauty on this earth
can fill the need of seed
as continual hunger dwells in poverty
All the sweet music of the song
does not fill a tummy long
Does not make a warm, safe bed
for the weary to lay their head
For it's up to us you see
to provide for those less fortunate than we

God provides the best He can
then He leaves the rest to man~

Marge...I wish we could fax this to our leaders.  I will not get on a soap box here (although believe I could speak and write much on this topic).  Suffice it to say, gentle heart, I couldn't agree with you more!

A wonderful write, my lovely friend!

Dear Marge:  Tis great and oh, so true! Man sure doesn't seem to be doing much of a job of taking care of those who need it most!

Corinne~
Sweetie ... you nailed it !

And compassion begins on each doorstep.
If just ONE of us gives to another less-fortunate this day ... think of how far we could go to filling an empty belly.

I was inspired to write this a long time ago, by someone's post here at Passions ... and after following my own advice in my work at a feed-station for the homeless ... I realize that I have so much more than I need and giving is something I can do.

I was able to talk my church into a program where each member family 'adopts' a needy family ... takes so little to give to others.

Thanks everyone ... now, what are you doing ?
Surely it has been evidenced that we can't wait for our 'leaders' !
