I just thought I'd let you know
How much your words mean to me
Your words have travelled far
Across the land and out to sea

Words brought us together
Although distance keeps us apart
But your words were still able
To touch deep inside my heart

The bonds of friendship were tied
From the moment we first met
Your kind and caring heart
I'm not likely to forget

But these words seem insufficient
'tho I will write them anyway
In the hope that they will reach you
And bring a smile to your day
