Dark Of Light
~*Marge Tindal*~

The dark of me is equal to the light
side by side we travel
Dark becomes me most
when light begins to unravel
In darkness I am cloaked
in light minus reflection
Therefore I am my own shadow
that cannot step away
Gingerly hop-of-scotching
hoping to reach home
perhaps alone
Yet as I turn to see
where I've been
I see light
chasing my shadow
I pause ...
hoping it will catch me~

*Inspired by the loveliest of friends*
Thank you, Pat
~Regards to you too, dear lady~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

I love this!

And especially this, which is as fine a turn of the poet's wheel as there is.....

"I see light
chasing my shadow
I pause ...
hoping it will catch me~"

Yes....I find myself looking back too...maybe if I pause for just a bit.....

With equal parts of dark and light, it sounds to me like you are gray! lol

Actually, you appear quite balanced! I enjoyed the yin-yanginess of this write!

I love this poem's 'take me lightly' or 'go deeper' persona.  Well written.  Great visual!

Hello Marge

This was so very beautiful and indeed, very inspiring.

that hold us in place when
our world threatens to dissolve"
