I told myself:
"yer paranoid"
there are no voices
in the void--
just the ghosts
of dreams undreamt
reminding self
I had not slept.

I told myself,
"it is not true"
there are no shadows
after you--
it's just the way
the lights will play
when clouds of doubt
eat the sun's ray.

I told myself--
"it's in yer head"
relax--forget
that dirge of dead
there are no flies
in buzz of corpse--
I told myself
as I decayed.

I told my bones--
"you need to eat"
I told my soul
to stay the keep--
ash to dust
and dust to sweep--

all is but delusioned roil--
a dance of silver cord in blue.

and just because yer paranoid?
Don't mean that "they" aren't after you...

Haunting. Now that i think of it, many of the times i was accused of being paranoid, the things i feared happened, and in the end i was left to deal wit the issues myself. So i totally agree with your last line! good write!

Yep, Karen, some may say we are just
"paranoid" and it's all in our head, but then we   SEE  what we see, we
HEAR  what we hear,  we
READ  what we read....and  "they"  say  what  they  say.  Right, my friend??
Hugs to you, Lady

I think being paranoid as an exercise, a mental workout so to speak.  It is great sorting out reality from imagination, and I am not sure I get which is which, witch!  Fantabulous write.
