Worries take their toll
I don't want them anymore
Go to a cliff and give them a roll
My happiness must exist galore

I listen to the music
Focus on the notes
So many I can't pick
On an ocean, like a thousand boats

Cello, Violin, bass
They all blend in one
Taking their own pace
The worries weighing a ton

But lighter as the music flows
I imagine many landscapes, unknown to my eyes
As the orchestra continues to grow
No more unknown lies

The music has changed its tone
Moods changing seemingly fast
Instrumentalists gladly shown
So fast, my mind lay towards past

Beautiful, sad, happy, and glad
I can't quite pick
Never growing bad
I will never grow sick

Final bars carry out
The striking final ending
It will approach, I must not pout
The audiences reaction pending

Staccato breathes shorten their pace
Like a thousand boats
It's a majestic race
Lost in a thousand notes

The title you chose was really catching...brought me right into the theme of the write...treading water beside each line. Nice write. ThisDiamond

very nice write indeed

I feel rain pouring down. I wait to rot away,
Live again, here forever, the spiral never ends.   Godsmack
