Complete focus.
I must ask you just right
or you won't respond.
I must be firm yet gentle
knowing that you want to listen
and are waiting for me to let you
teach me how to teach you.
The stresses fade away;
I lose myself in your eyes.
I touch your face and you pull away
so I touch you again and you let me.
I scratch your ear and you nuzzle my hand
looking for the elusive treat
that means a job well done.
I throw my arms around your neck
and cry.
You stand there and let my human emotions
drain away into your fur
so that once again I may be
what you think I really am;
your herd leader, your lead mare.
Equine personified.

Rhonda, this is beautiful and tender. It's so
sweet. I'm sending it back up for another round.

Rhonda...you should write about your equine
friends more often.  I enjoyed this.

I'd give you great big bugs, but I'm sick.... besides, I'm not sure I can walk that far when I'm healthy, never mind dizzy and weak as a newborn.... (I hate being sick).

Ah, what the hey. *BUGS* You write beautifully. When my head is back to normal I'll re-read and tell you how truly good it is.... for now I'm so muddled that I can't even think in circles. Not that I manage straight lines very well at the best of times.

You just continue to stun me woman and something in my muddled head says I'm rambling. Signing off.

(You have no idea how long it took to get the typoes out of this.... )

You feel like a horse, you think like a horse, but you certainly don't look like a horse! To me you are a beautiful young woman who is an equine empath!
