(This is a ballad I wrote visiting the enchanted city of Tralee in Ireland, personally the most beautiful city to me in Ireland. I already loved the city, then knowing of William Pembroke Mulchinock's song which inspired the annual beauty pageant "Rose Of Tralee", it kind of left a bittersweet vision to me, knowing how I desire to find my love so much and creating my own ghost of a true love there that I could never have and I got this song deep in me.)

Tralee
(Never Could Imagine)
By: Noah Eaton
7/25/03

Last summer I met her at the fair
Aquamarine eyes and turkish-chocolate hair
Must of seen double-vision in serendipity
There in the Garden of the Senses of this silver city
Never could imagine would come this day
Never could believe it could ever be taken away...

But Tralee
When I leave you behind, will you recognize me
When I come back kneeling beneath your balustrade?
And Tralee
I only hope if she forgets me
That she'll find somebody
Within your crystal gates
Who can make her feel at home...

I learned how the rain can elate with heaven
I understand now of the heart to commit
She still is the superstar at the Siamsa Tire
Where I used to see her every Friday evening
Never could imagine seeing vales so green
Never could imagine endlessly dreaming
To the point where my heart is bleeding...

Tralee
When I leave you behind, will you recognize me
When I come back kneeling beneath your balustrade?
Tralee
I only hope if she forgets me
That she'll find somebody
Within your crystal gates
Who can make her feel at home...

I still see you passing me down Princes Quay
I still hear your laugh at the steam railway
I still feel Brandon Beach call out your name
You're still on my mind everyday...

After church Sunday I headed to the Jeanie Johnston
Thought about staring off upon the ocean
Knowing nothing lasts forever and its not my fault
And there's no shame in admitting that at all
Still I never could believe love can feel so delicate
And I never can doubt love will return and welcome me in...

Tralee
When I leave you behind, will you recognize me
When I come back kneeling beneath your balustrade?
Tralee
I only hope if she forgets me
That she'll find somebody
Within your crystal gates
Who can make her feel at home...
Make her feel at home...
Promise me, promise me, promise me
You'll make her feel at home...
Make her feel at home...

Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story

***Shakira***

Leaves me with the impression that you're an old soul remembering another life...  Hauntingly solemn and serene.

Oh, Noah, this is so beautiful. I would
love to hear it to music, too. I wish I could hear it now. We've missed you so much, Noah. I'm glad that you got to visit
Ireland, but I'm really glad that you're home.

Noah...You have such a way of bringing music into your words, without even hearing the tune...you have melody.  I love this!

Noah, this is superb - very haunting and beautiful, just as I pictured Ireland would be.  Keep up the great writing!

Noah, may a woman as loving and with as pure a spirit as yours, come into your life and give you the love that you so richly deserve.

This was an exceptionally fine piece of descriptive and emotive writing. I enjoyed the forward that you wrote. It gave added meaning to ballad.
