Wishes of welfare for others.
Reaching out with care.
Concern for sisters, and brothers.
Wanting fairness, no injustice to bear.

Selfless, and cooperative,
even to their own detriment.
Altruistic is the word, operative,
Unselfish in every event.

Showing unselfish regard,
Opposed to the egotistic.
Nothing mystic to the bard.
No mystery when altruistic.

Kindness.
An extention of their care.
Single-mindedness,
Altruistics, being selfish?
Well they just wouldn't dare!

This is my first attempt at a challenge here. I know it's not the best, but I tried. I just hope it wasn't too boring.

Dear SharaRose you can click on the Edit button - the bloc notes with pencil - and correct the word.
It happens all the time ... nothing to worry about. Better the Bard, yes.
Love, Margherita

Wellll Patricia I'm not sure I have a favorite word unless it would be Love maybe? I just don't know, never thought about it, but that's something to start asking myself. Good idea. Now I am curious about that myself.

Kethry- thanks so much. I am glad you didn't mind the reading, and commenting. Just seemed to lack something, but I'm my own worst critic. hugs...

Seymour-- thank you. I am so glad you liked. I feel good that you commented. I'm not seeing many men commenting so I appreciate very much you stopping, to read, and comment. Bless ya!

Margherita---thank you. I finally found the edit button. I wish I could just erase this whole thing, but it's already out there so I won't try to hide it. I just didn't like how this turned out.

Hugs to all,

Excellent job, SharaRose. I like the word you chose, and you did good job at basing your poem off of it.

My vocabulary is being expanded through this challenge

“We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best that we can find in our travels is an honest friend.” –Robert Louis Stevenson

Thanks QJQ, Kaoru, and passing shadow. First time trying the challenge thing. I'm not talented like the rest of you so I have to try extra hard ...it doesnt come as easy to me as it does for all of you. Sweet of you to comment.
