scratching tired thoughts
that float in the dull evening air
like the sun itself
relentlessly shredding soul
to spread light to the lightless
and give hope to the hopeless

they have had enough
and now their stint is done
in this vast prison
where time is a jailer
and memories --
the prime criminals

they rest like stench
on dry barks of dead trees
that once were green
fresh like mist-filled dawns

soon they won’t even be
worth their scratches

yet the sun would dawn
till the star dies

There is nothing irritable in these words. Wonderful

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

well this is just cooler than cool...I am loving the assonance and alliterations..
and the imagery is very cool..ethereal and haunting...and that closing couplet...
stunning...NO... BRILLIANT

excellent write poet Sud

"How could I stand here with you and not be moved by you."
