ring

within a ring

within

sleepy stretch upon the rock

ring

without--a spiraling--

float the ribbon--

shout the moan

low tones

of the viola

shuddering

no volunteer

sweet port

and the play of tongue

licking lidded eyes awake

wings upon the back of snake--

creation is upstream.

Float the ribbon

  tunneling

one hand each
upon two knees
squatting
as the rhythms won

the Nile flows--upstream.

(she dreamed)

and spat rum to the fire.

Eyes betray the quickening

the fluttered hints of reckoning

There beneath the lid, I cry,

and pound impatience of release...

Pounding Poe to let me out--

awaiting my apocalypse

Rise! I rage

and sound my fist--

the judgement day has come.

K?

ok this made me feel many things . . .
an awakening slowwww awakening
dreaming of swimming flying tired

creation is upstream.

as a salmon almost, and:

and spat rum to the fire.

as in disgust or finality

dreaming rapid wanting yearning
to be home, again
finally

You are beautiful, Lady K
and this is astounding
You make me feeeeeel

Poe is pleased.  Everything was upstream to him...life is hard, and you write the best of it.  Dang it but I'm proud of you!
