TWENTY OR LESS…#135

Copyright 2003 by:  Mark V Sheldon

distant flash
brilliant electric noise

the room is soundless

hands on the controls
laboring breath
cradling chaos
against

the enemy

First read, first impression:

Fighter pilot

Second read, second impression:

The President at the helm
during the advent of nuclear war.

Excellent write, Mark!

Thank you, Eric -- I keep carving in hopes of reaching the core...

Sudhir, I'm pleased to hear you're enjoying them.  Part of the fun is never knowing what the next one is going to be...  Thanks for the feedback.

Hey Sunshine -- those are very possible imagries...  I was picturing something towards THE THING...

Seymour:  ...exceptional...?  Wow.  Coming from you that's quite a feel-good & I'm glad you enjoyed -- thank you, Sir.

LeeJ:  Getting close...  All mankind?  In one way or another, I'm sure of it...  Thanks for the read & thoughts.

littlewing:  A video game could definitely be another possibility -- and an acurate one.  As for being tough to do...?  Not at all -- just pick any 20 (or less) words of your choice and carve something interesting -- that's all.  They're a very fun snapshot of a moment within one's stream of consciousness...

KristieSue:  Thanks for your interest and enthusiasim.
