Did you ever walk an early beach
and try to catch the morning,
it's just a seashell out of reach.
Did you ever walk an early beach?

The waves can always teach
their subtle signs of karmic warning;
did you ever walk an early beach
and try to catch the morning?

and at a starry tide
place where it can start
come take a tender ride
if you can catch its heart

this beat is a gentle view
if you can just believe
is it something you can do
to accept what you receive

Between the poem and reply from h I think it's galringly obvious that you two must write a duet..nuff said

Great read, and I second the motion for a duet.

when grey turns
into soft pink
you hold your breath
while the sea
gives birth to the sun
and you suddenly own
a brand new day,
joyously aware
of the gift.

Your beautiful words are inspiring!

it could only be by the ocean...and perhaps maybe in the mountains..that one could hope to witness it...
I did see it on the Chesapeake Bay...
one can not catch it..but if one is blessed they can walk in the tides of it..and feel its breeze.

Seems we are on the same "wavelength"

Ive been begging me muse for something along this idea for days now...we will see how it all falls.

loved the title too, poet sir.

"How could I stand here with you and not be moved by you."

When morning births a new day
Comes a new start for each
A new beginning, a new leaf
New chances, mapping out our way
Morning air
On mother Earths watery pallette
Giving way to sweet release.
Oh sweet morning, seashells adorning
Bring me your serenity, and your peace!

I love the beach in the morning. Fresh new day, and beauty as far as the eye can see. What a treasure this write is. I love this. Thanks for teaching us how to catch the morning!!! So pretty. Lovely feeling I was left with after reading!
