Dancing With My Piano

Slow steps around we dance
The floor etched like a record
With the steps we take to be together
Cobwebbed and perfumed
Corners and rooms of wood and glass

Shhhh darling know the song will last
The music ends but the breath is long
Even across the miles of time
the reverie like candle burns
We blow the past that age inspires
With each the other draw out fire

The melody is all around us
sometimes quiet as the morning
Webs spun of purest light
throughout the night then into dew
Listen how we play it right
I’m singing this song to you

Martie - I knew one day you would play that piano and sing me a song. I love your title to this...

I wish I could tell you how sweet this song is to me right now..... just two, making their own music, nothing but the song of their togetherness. What a beautiful scene, and what a beautiful poem.....
