Half and Half

I’m half clover, half rover and
A nova, until it’s over
I’ve sailed from port to port
And wrought a treasure trove of naught.

Quick silver is my measure scale
It lies within a changing Vale
I fondle it each searching flay
And grieve the loss each passing day

Some days I am a worm in lie
Some days I am a butterfly
Some days I pass in angry rue
And know not if any be true

I dream I am a human being
Wonder of the overflowing
In the day I see the sun
And in the night it’s not quite done

Illusion seems the point of issue
Or perhaps it is a passé-partout.

Love this m'friend, whether a worm in lie, or a butterfly...
I too often ask myself this question.

Wonderful write!

One thing for sure...
until it burns out
of its own accord...
you'll always see
the sun!

Seymour - you are indeed a human being, and a fine one at that.

JM,
I just love your replies. By the way did you get the ships picture yet? Mailed it a few days ago. And Randy said he's going to stay with you. He knows a good thing when he sees it.
