there she was
dancing
blending with twilight rays
welcoming the dawn
with an earnest smile

her faint shadows curved
forming spiral silhouettes
as she rode the waves
celebrating with
the dance of the golden dawn

she wore a flowing red dress
with white lacy sleeves
and she had silky black hair
partially eclipsing
her smooth emerald eyes

while all I could do was
stand by the window
dressed in wide-jawed awe
just like the breeze
stilled by the beauty of the sun

what else could I do
for she was
artfully ornamented
with a beautiful smile
and sharp salsa rhythms

You took our breath away again, Sudhir. Excellent write.

what a view
and I love your "wide-jawed awe"
and her hair eclipsing her eyes
those are fabulous

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Thank you all so very much... it is strange how the mind wanders and wavers and how words and lines are formed out of those meandering thoughts... Recently I had been to South Spain and enjoyed the sea and the sand and some salsa music... this I wrote entirely out of imagination... but now I wish I had only seen seen someone dancing the way I imagined

visions?

or apparitions?

anyways, I am rambling on now...

what I meant to say was thank you all for your time and your kind words...

regards
sudhir
