One day will never
come.

A moment bleeding to the edge
of just another moment -

This is all we have.

And what lies beyond the final
wounded moment...belongs to
other worlds.

From that point on...time
will bleed no more.

And the one day that we have
always longed for -

Still has never come.

I like the message you put forth in this.Take each day as the one day to fulfill all your dreams and desires. Then one day will come every day

"And the one day that we have
always longed for -

Still has never come."

~ That may be true; however, you will then have new vistas--new horizons--new dreams!

Oh Eric...what wisdom I have found in this piece.  I love your philosophy, my friend.  Such sensibility and logic wrapped in smooth and flow.  A wonderful write!

Eric, how sad this is. But it is true that each day may be the day..if we can only see it.

I just love how you have worded this...it's familiar and intriguing.  I've read it over and over and now I'm going to save it. ~K~

Almost cynical through one perspective, but I prefer to view it as realistic.  Wise words, indeed.
