A morning stretch
     grasping upon the day
  awakening the hunger
     and its prey

Emptiness roars
     as life so weeps
  darkness does not hold,
     but sleeps

the sun
     encircles thy eyes
  bleeding sleep
     as hunger thus rise

Centuries so pass
     sustaining
  with the taste for blood
     remaining

Escape
     this knight will soon fold
  containing
     each story, told

Now, in the daylight
     that breaks
  is the darkness
     once sleeping, takes

Such is legend
     of man and beast
  a knight's dream
     where hunger always feast

Fear is a blindness, heart is the cure.   -   C. Belville 02

How did this get bypassed? I enjoyed it thoroughly. Yes indeed. Chris
