Silence gives way
rustled from discontent,
allowing the ache of vacancy
to spread it's twisted root
seeking to drink
in stagnant pool
of love's distil.

Where before
fields of Bordeaux
came to aged perfection,
this season
finds fruitless vine
locked inside dank cellar
torn from heart tilled soil
and forgotten.

Measure of
days fulfilled
depart this boreal valley
now, as lush moments of covenant
diffuse in heady bouquet
scenting each draw of breath
in final display of tenderness.

Climb then
toward reposing sun,
horizon beckoning each step
by degree lift your glass
to weary heart,
desire spent.

My the two of you du-et so well together, and that was simply amazing writing.  I loved so many lines it makes it hard to pull just a few so thank you for a beautiful poem.
