Blessed be the bird's song
upon my windowpane
on a crystal morn
while the sky burns brighter
then all the fires of passion's
inextinguishable flame
A simple song to make me shiver
A simple dream that thrives forever
Alive in me
and shines upon the wary sinner

Blessed be the bird's song
beating through my heart
she keeps me yearning
for the treasures in my life
and holds me from the dangers
that play upon my strife
her simple song will carry on
piercing night and day
her simple words that empower me
to wish the past away

Blessed be the bird's song
warming lovers thoughts
I see her perched upon a
rosewood branch to the calling of the morn
she sings to me and
so I listen
for a wisdom I can't find
in the trials of my life
In her song I find a peace
I'd love to share with you
In her flight I see a truth
to carry on and move me through
singing the bird's song
come fly with me
in the heaven's blue.

beautiful
from a bird lover to another
i often wonder when they leave the sill in fall, do they miss us as much as we miss their morning song ?

Liked the write...well done...I wrote one about a bird too...not quite as exquisite as yours though..

Why doesn't my bird sing anymore?

My mommy bought me a song bird,
It's yellow and green and white,
But this morning it wouldn't sing a word,
Something is just not right?

I went to the kitchen to tell my mom,
"My bird won't sing anymore?"
She said, "Just get dressed or you'll be late,
Pick your clothes up off the floor."

My bird just kind of lays there?
No sound nor chirps or song,
Why doesn't my bird sing anymore?
Maybe my dad will know what's wrong.

I went into the den to ask my dad,
He knows most everything,
"Dad" I said, "That bird of have,
Just lays there and won't sing."

My dad replied, "I'm late for work,
Hand me my case and lunch,
And don't be late for school or else,
And you'd better not miss your bus!"

Why doesn't my bird sing anymore
So sweetly like he did back "then?"
I guess when I get home from school,
I'll just wind it up again!

Great write!! Sometimes all we need to get us through a hard day is as simple as a birds song! I hope to see more of your work soon!!
