Hello out there I am your baby With all that smoking I will be choking I know I am still in your stomach But those lethal gases still Come into my living space And if this keeps up I will be dead for sure So if you can stop smoking And stop leaving me choking When I am born I will be healthy And not still born Cold hands means a warm heart |

My Mom smoked while she was pregnant with me and I have no sense of smell because of it. What is life without poetry and adventure? |

Julie, this is a great message. This should be put on TV on the non-smoking ads. I haven't smoked for many years, but the damage to my lungs is still there. The doctor asked me again today when did I quit smoking. He said my breathing is very shallow. People don't realize the harm until it's too late. Thank you for this, friend. Hugs  Ethel |

You're right Julie....besides stillbirth, smoking mothers are more likely to have babies with lower birth weight due to the tobacco. Good message.  ~Elizabeth Dreams last for so long, even after you're gone... |

why does the government make nicotine a legal drug?I thought the FDA was suppost to ban comsumption of thihg that were hazardous to you health.Cigaretttes only cost pennies a pack to make.The reast is tax and profits. paladin |

i agree,no one that is carrying a baby should smoke! i think at the sight of it they should be arrested or something..its terrible,and whats worst is people that are carrying that still drink! Ive seen this last night as a matter of fact. i was very disgusted. good write by the way!  Fool me once shame on you.....Fool me twice shame on me..... |

Loner I found this write very disturbing and not because of the issue of smoking but because of the graphic nature in which you present this topic . . . Julie: I agree that smoking is awful The way this was presented disturbed me I agree with the smoking issue but stillborn dead baby rattled me And as a nurse - it is harmful inhaling exhaust which we all do daily anyhow . . . it is not just smoking that causes this one of them yes . . .  (tears fall down my cheeks) I just think that ALL smoking is stupid! (sad sigh) So very ridiciulous indeed! I always wonder how this whole phenomenon started anyway, and how people claim its "cool" and get others involved with the sad false theory! Tell everyone you know that smoking is not cool and together we can save many lungs and livers, God Bless You, we all love you so much!
