Ten past...
Past what one might ask?
Time perhaps.....or maybe life itself...or
ten past the number of beats since a heart
skipped an eternal beat.

Past the moment of a sun’s shimmering set
or the brush of a foamy crested wave upon
the sands of a deserted beach, ten past the
last kiss as hands held and hips brushed
lightly in reflect of the glow....was it
ten past then...in the heat of passion, or
was it NOW....as ten past shuddered by....

Escaping reality, as ten past the perk of fresh
beans conjures the recall of a memory shared
upon a now dusty and faded swing, upon a
vine laden porch of creaking slats and slits
for young spying eyes...

Yes, ten past.....tomorrow or today.....for
now I wait for ten of to become ten till
while ten past anticipates the chime of midnight
as the distant owl hoots at ten before
the full moon rises...

You surely handle "ten past" in a very attractive manner! NOW is always the best time I think.

Barry

Time is just too far away, or not close enough, is all I know.
