Fiscal Year Blues (PPP Challenge)

Once a year my job becomes bombarded
with funds and faxes
It’s not always easy spending your taxes

I fight with engineers
and contractor’s too
$400 for a toilet seat, not what I want to do

Negotiations, and meetings
enough to make me snatch myself bald
Co-workers watch, completely enthralled

Money comes dumped
from everywhere
They were hording without a care

And now it’s me to the rescue
get rid of it or Uncle Sam will
then next year will be less of a deal

Please get me to October first
without losing my fuse
God help me, I’ve got the end of fiscal year blues

And Icy, sorry, I do construction contracts you will have to go see the nice people at NAVAIR, I think...

Bluesy-Don't you remember the 60 mins. piece about the gov. spending huge amounts of money on stuff?? Maybe that was before your time..lol Anyway, it happened in the past and now we have the FAR...federal acquisition regulations.....sigh.
