After great soul searching
within that trash can I call my mind
I realize it's time
to get back to the basics.
No, I don't mean with Waylon and Willie
and the boys...and yet?
In remembering those lyrics,
they make a lot of sense,
and are good lyrics to live by,
whether sung cowboy style or
jazzed up or blasted into space
through rock n roll's grace.

Some days the magical moon
and those twinkling bright stars
seem too far away to be reachable.
It's on days such as this
I search for some sort of bliss
within a blue sky called Pips,
and rarely do I miss touching the face
of Humanity when I spend time here.

Back to the basics,
of LIFE.

thanks Waylon and Willie
and many many Pipsters.

Kacy - smiling at this
I grew up with Waylon and Willie
"Luckenbach Texas . . ."

Although my mom always sang to us:
"Momma, dont let your babies grow up to be cowboys . . ."

Needed your thoughts today
amen indeed

with joy, of course, for that tender comment!
You just made my day, JM.

Hey, Sue! I sang out that tune at a bar one night, and ended up with three cowboys chasing me around offering me drinks. LOL. (I outran all of'em.)

Good one Kacy, and I happen to love Waylon and Willie. At least one can understand what they are saying - and in this day and age that's a blessing along with our Pip. hugs to you, Chris

I love you
With a thousand hearts."
