Don't ask me for my number
before you even know my name.

Save your song and dance
for another night out at the ball game.

Don't tell me how you ache
when we don't ache the same.

Don't mention meeting me halfway
as if I couldn't read a map.

Don't try to impress me with your golf game
and how you scored ten under par.

Don't talk about getting to know me
then turn around and slam the door.

Don't play me for a fool
or try to open up old wounds.

Don't tell me I'm going to lose you
or try to make me come unglued.

Don't be cheating on the back nine
just to even up the score.

Baby, you can drive my heart
but it won't get you very far.

Someday I'll get it right
and sink a hole in one.

Thank you for being such a sweetie Linda~

Nice to see you here icebox, and thanks for your nice reply.

What a hoot you are girlie...thanks, I needed that!

Well some of em anyway....we shouldn't get into male bashing much less let them ruin our strategy.   Thanks alot for reading Janette~

Janet Marie~  You warm my heart to no end.  I just lost my way for
there for a little while.   Thank you sweet mothy lady.

Kaoru~  I think I could have revised those lines,
since everyone aches differently, so long as they just don't pour it on too thick!   Thanks so much for reading.

Hi there angel woman~
I don't know how powerful this was...
but I thank you for saying so.
I think what's important is how
meaningless the score is in the first place.

ya know?

Lori

The course is full of traps and holes...just keep you eyes open.  It's not where the ball ends up, it the trip across the green that's important.

Bluesie,
See, I knew you were gaining ground on this topic! You go girl...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Hey Dixie girl, thanks a bunch.

Paul~ A girl has to come out swinging and take her best shot!
Thanks for reading my venting~

Martie~ I don't think anyone sees me quite the way you do.
Thank you for your knowing reply.  hugs~

Larry~  It might take me awhile, but yes, I'm getting there,  slowly but surely.  Thank you dear man~

I wish I was writing about the things you do....
instead of chipping away at my words.
Many thanks to you Ethel~
