"She" doesn't deserve you, she lost that right
I hate how she treats you sometimes.
I can't stand to hear of the loneliness
she puts you through every night.

She must have some type of hold on you,
I didn't expect you to stay around,
But she's the one you close your eyes to
At night, without a touch, or a sound.

Each night I'm left with empty arms
Longing for your body to hold.
"There's no love left here, but I can't leave now."
I often wonder if your heart's been sold.

I see the passion you have, that you put down in words
And I still can't understand why
"She" thinks she deserves a small part of you
And I'm scared slowly your spirit will die.

For six brief years you've taught me about love
Hell, I didn't know I could feel so much
If I had just one chance to feel your warmth
Maybe I'd melt some of her icy touch.

You and I both were tossed a wrong deal
In this life that's given us so much pain
If we didn't have so much to lose
We'd have each other to gain.

I'll always say she doesn't deserve you
I'll always wonder why you couldn't leave
I jokingly said the world only likes love songs
But deep down love songs are what I believe.

So we'll go on living our lives apart
Meeting for brief moments stolen online
Maybe one day soon, maybe in some other life
I'll be the one to deserve you this time.

back to the top with you.

I know some of this

Late at night you'll come crawling back
Just to steal a piece of me

I think we all know of relationships like this...where one is being taken advantage of...some feel comfortable in these types of relationships...some wish to escape...James

Gosh, this pulls on my brain. So sad. Isn't it funny how those people who do not appreciate what they have often have someone or something so precious. yet those who would give the world in love, and appreciate how lucky they are, end up without.

Sigh...keep on hoping and believing. I'm right here with ya gal.

Thank you, everyone.  It did come straight from my heart.  It's like finding a huge diamond among all the coal...only someone's picked it up....hasn't put it back down yet..probably doesn't realize it's a diamond..and you stand there eyeballing it.. hoping they put it down so you can grab it, take it home, and nuture it back to the brilliant gem that it once was.  (and I can also relate this to finding a beautiful shirt that you see, go to grab it.. someone else gets to it first..and stands there holding it.. knowing it's NOT her size. LOL  And you wait for her to put it back on the rack so you can buy it.)

I just wanted him to know that I see all that he radiates, and I do see deeper into him than he knows.  I always have.

LR, perhaps he only thinks he deserves it?  Perhaps he thinks he has to pay his dues...but I think he's paid them long ago.  He should have alot of credit saved up by now. LOL
