~ Teardrops of Love ~

As
these
hues of
rain dance
ever so softly
from crystal eyes
releasing in free-form
Venus bliss in vibrant spill
streams cascade like waterfalls
moistened pearls drip glisten pools
in diamond glints of dewdrop drench
across emblazoned cheeks of sky skin
through salty slide of a love’s harmony
reflections of your gentleness live on
how deep you have kissed my soul
floating on heart’s watercolours
pirouetting in shadows bathe
teardrops flutter refreshing
showering my spirit
with only you

By Melissa Long-Monette

Okay, so it isn't Shakespeare, but, it's fun and it isn't as easy to do as it looks....
SO MAYBE THIS COULD BE A CHALLENGE? I'd love to see other 'shape' poems soon!

Melissa,
No they aren't easy. I've done them too. But that was cool AND a love poem. It's perfect.

And here is one I was involved in:  Shared Heart

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Melissa, I salute you! This was a well-written poem in content--and shape!

Here's one of mine as requested:

A treasured tear of a friend is worth more than a diamond...

Thank you for this poem! I enjoy reading "shape" poems.

Nice work melissa, but i don't think I'll be part of that challenge. hard enough trying to say something as it is let alone within the confines of a shape

Very lovely Melissa!
Although I can't even put two words together lately to write a poem, let alone one in a shape..lol...this is fantastic!

ahhhhhhh the moth is giddy...
look at all those groooovy allits and imagery and the assonance is just as cool as is the format and display of your words.
excellent creative work Melis-girlie.

Well ... OK ... but you have to wash it first.

Melissa, I love this. I will try it when I get the time, because I know that it takes a lot of work to do this.
This is simply beautiful.

(Pssstttt!!! I posted a little rictameter for this. Even though it's diamond shaped, I know that's kinda like cheating, cause the counts already there.)
