This was inspired by humanity being
hurtful and unkind to their
fellow man.
They pour out their
pain and insecurity on
everyone that travels
on their darkening,
death ridden highway.
This is why they are an
Unworthy Warrior.
Bonnie J. Sittler

Unworthy Warrior

He comes riding on a stallion
as black as midnight
with taunt sinewy muscles
that are made
of
strength and evil debauchery.
Dressed in black leather,
a sword at his side.
He wears a mask of steel covering
scars of deceit
while hiding his malicious intent.
He comes striding
into your sanctuary
with sword held high
disregarding
all that is within his
narrow path of self-egotism.
His sword striking fast as lightening
and
then he gallops away
without a backward glance.
He thinks he is a mighty man
with his
powerful stallion and sword made
of
flashing steel.
One day he will gallop
into the righteous mans domain.
His mask will fall;
he will not be able to hide.
His mighty stallion will kneel
at the feet of this righteous man.
His mighty sword
will turn into broken clay
and
he will return to the
dust
from which he came
and
be no more.
