She's left you-
an open window,
in the rain

that's what you get-
for shattering the glass

set your words aflame,
and let them burn:
your tears can cool them down

blood-red roses,
don't mean a thing.

She'll pull the petals off,
let them go with the wind.

bet you didn't know,
this rose's got thorns

(she's been a little unhappy. Thought this might cheer ya up girl )

Hey Liz
I really liked this and I think Gemma will, too. And this part.....

bet you didn't know,
this rose's got thorns

She is angry, isn't she? I don't blame her, though.

Once again, I'm proud to call you Friend. Oh, with your words you have so gracefully captured the situation, my feelings, my anger exactly. Each line is perfect in itself.
You know me quite well methinks.
I can't say what these words mean, seriously, they do make me feel stronger. I really needed this, and i think you must've known that.
I'd love to show the person this concerns, but i shall not waste my time. Anyway, it's mine, and i love it more than you can imagine. I'm putting it on my wall. I love ya Lizzie bird!

THANKYOU SOOOOO MUCH

thank you guys, mostly Gem, you really deserve this. Your words mean a lot to me and a whole bunch of other people here. And I can tell that you are very troubled

Ok- call me crazy but this just slipped from the last poem on the page to the 7th. Without anyone replying? spooky

Young lady, I'll keep saying it
until I buy your first book of poetry...

and then I'll just demand
an audience at your book-signing...

you've got a gift!

Funny how this should pop up at this very moment...very poignant...a sign i think, for me to give up crying. moments earlier, i had a thought, a realisation, then this popped back up.

that may not make sense to you, but it does to me. so thanks again liz, and vandana, for bringing this back.

(still wanting to print this, but printers broke. grrrrr)

It hurts... But through the pain we grow. Who would chose a dandelion over a rose?
